Touchpad is a special surface
which can sense the movement of a finger. It is used to move the pointer by
moving the finger on the pad. It is mainly found in laptop computers.

A scanner is an input device,

and displays them on the monitor. There are many types of scanners. The most
commonly used scanner is Flatbed scanner.

A microphone is an input device used

A digital camera is an input

camera. The images in the card can be transferred to the computer.

loud sound, while headphones are used by an individual without disturbing
others from the sound.

A plotter is an output device
that gives the output on a paper. This is generally used to generate high
quality large printing of construction maps, engineering drawing and posters.

Storage device is a hardware used
to store data in the computer system.

do we need software?

cannot work. Software enables the user to interact with a computer, its

There are two types of software:

Operating system is an example of system software. Without the operating system
we cannot even start the computer. Window is the most popular operating system.

Software: An application software is also called an app. It does a specific type of work.
